Elite Recurve Performance

Where archers
are engineered

No two archers are built the same. Height, wingspan, bone structure, shoulder mobility, strength — all of it decides what a repeatable shot looks like for you. Science-backed coaching finds that form instead of forcing you into someone else's.

The approach

No two archers draw
the same bow

Most coaching begins with a model of the correct shot and corrects every archer toward it. That holds up until the body won't comply — a shorter wingspan, a stiffer shoulder, an asymmetric draw — and from then on the archer is spending strength fighting their own anatomy to hold a position it was never built for.

Biomechanical analysis works the other way round. Your joint angles, alignment, mobility and strength profile are measured at full draw, and the shot is built around what your structure actually does well. Equipment is then tuned to that shot — not the shot bent to fit stock equipment.

The aim isn't a textbook-looking shot. It's one you can repeat on arrow 72 as cleanly as arrow 1, when fatigue and scoring pressure are pulling it apart. We call that shot your true north.

Why no two plans look alike

Change any one of these and the most repeatable shot for that archer changes with it.

Height & wingspan Draw length Bone structure Shoulder mobility Neck & spine alignment Hip & stance geometry Grip and hand size Eye dominance Strength profile Left–right asymmetry Flexibility Breathing pattern Rate of fatigue Injury history Temperament under pressure
Talent isn't on this list. It decides how fast an archer improves — not what their best technique should be.
The reference point

True North

The most repeatable shot your body can make. Not the prettiest and not a copy of anyone else's — the shot your own structure returns to when fatigue and pressure are pulling at it.

Every session works toward it. Once it's found, it stops being a goal and becomes the benchmark — the fixed bearing every future arrow, every form change and every equipment adjustment is measured against.

"I was a competitive archer before I was a coach. I know what the shot feels like under pressure — not just what it looks like from behind the line."

Dheeraj Malik has coached India's national squads at the Asia Cup and Youth World Championship, and trained under Olympic gold medallist Juan Carlos Holgado. He runs his own academy, Navyug Archery, in Rohtak, Haryana, and works across both recurve and compound — from an archer's first arrow to the international line.

Coached India at Asia Cup Stage 1 Bangkok 2025 — team finished 1st overall in the medal tally

Residential bootcamps

Full immersion, on the range, for archers who need to peak — or rebuild.

Before the season

Competition sharpening

Scheduled immediately ahead of a target event. Volume, scoring pressure, and routine are locked in — nothing about your technique is changed this close to competing.

After the season

Major form rebuild

The only safe window to change something structural. Alignment, draw mechanics, release — taken apart and rebuilt with enough runway to become automatic before the next season.

The process

How a session works

Book & Pay

Choose your plan and a time slot. Pay securely by card. You receive a Zoom link and session prep guide immediately.

Set Up Two Cameras

Mount two iPhones — one side-on, one front-facing. Open Larix Broadcaster on each. Both cameras stream live to Coach Dheeraj in real time.

Shoot & Be Coached Live

Coach Dheeraj watches both angles in real time via Discord audio. He gives verbal cues between shots. You shoot, adjust, shoot again.

Receive Annotated Replay

When Coach Dheeraj spots something critical, he captures the shot, annotates it with angle overlays and voice-over, and sends it to your phone in under 3 minutes.

The platform

Why ArcheryLabs is different

The only online archery coaching platform built on sports science infrastructure.

Equipment

The bow is half the archer

A perfect shot from a badly tuned bow still misses. Coach Dheeraj tunes competition equipment for national and international squads — and most archers arrive shooting against their own setup without knowing it.

Bring your bow to a session. Tuning is diagnosed on camera, adjusted between ends, and verified by where the arrows actually land.

What gets checked
  • Arrow spine & point weight — matched to your draw weight and length, not the chart
  • Brace height & tiller — set to your release, then confirmed by group shape
  • Centre shot & nocking point — bare-shaft and paper tested
  • Clicker & draw length — aligned to your actual anchor, not a borrowed one
  • Limb alignment & torque — the fault most often mistaken for bad form
  • Stabiliser balance — tuned to how your bow settles, not a formula
Dual-Camera Live Stream

Two iPhone cameras stream your shot simultaneously — side view and front view — to Coach Dheeraj in real time. He sees exactly what your body is doing from both angles.

60fps · 1080p
Instant Replay with Annotation

Coach captures any shot with one keypress. Annotates it in Dartfish — joint angles, release position, trajectory — with voice-over. Delivered to your phone in under 3 minutes.
